How about magazine covers or baseball cards with your baby's photo? You can also get chocolate candy bars or cigars with your baby's information. If you can imagine it, it can be done!
While you are still pregnant and uncomfortable, you may have some time to research all the alternatives. Shop around to find who does it best, if they offer exactly what you are looking for, and how much it will cost. Some birth announcements may cost $2.50 or more apiece. If you multiply that by the 100 or 200 people you will be sending to, along with the cost of postage, you might be heading to the bank to secure a loan! You may have time before your child is born to get started on planning a design and securing your supplies. While your newborn is mixed up and sleeping during the day, you'll find time to get them done. Get your partner involved in the production or addressing envelopes.
